About Storyline
Storyline is a student-led literacy initiative created to encourage young children to read, write, and share their stories.
Founded by Presley and Paxton Britt, Storyline began with a simple idea: every child deserves access to books and the confidence to see themselves as both a reader and a writer.
Through thoughtfully assembled literacy kits, Storyline places books and simple writing materials directly into the hands of children, creating space for imagination, creativity, and self-expression.
What We Do
Storyline provides literacy kits for early elementary-aged children, each designed to be both meaningful and accessible.
Every kit includes:
- Carefully selected children’s books
- Simple writing materials
- A guided writing starter page
- A personal note encouraging each child to tell their story
These kits are distributed in partnership with local organizations serving families in our community.
Why It Matters
Early literacy plays a foundational role in a child’s confidence and long-term success. But beyond that, stories shape how children see themselves and the world around them.
At Storyline, we believe every child has a story worth telling and that sometimes, all it takes is a book, a pencil, and a little encouragement to begin.
Our Approach
Storyline is intentionally simple.
We focus on:
- Thoughtful, high-quality materials
- Age-appropriate engagement (K–2)
- Encouragement over expectation
- Dignity and respect in how resources are shared
We believe small, consistent efforts can create meaningful impact over time.
